DIS 2009 For speakers
Talks display:
Each seminar room will be equipped with a projector connected to a computer
running Windows and a laser pointer. Transparencies should not be used.
Talk format:
The format for talks at DIS 2009 is PDF. You should make sure that all
required non-standard fonts used in your presentation are embedded in your
PDF file.
Uploading talks:
Talks should be uploaded to the conference management system using your indico
account for indico.cern.ch . If you do not already have an indico account you
should receive an email inviting you to register after which you will be able
to upload your talk.

SIMPLIFIED INSTRUCTIONS:
If you have not received yet an email inviting you to register in the
INDICO system, it means that you already have an account to which the
submission rights have been given. In that case, you can manage that account
at this
site (for instance, you can reset your password in case you forgot it).
If you have received an email inviting you to register in the INDICO system,
you need to register for a CERN External Account in
this
site (the CERN External Account consists of an email address and a
password).
The e-mail related to your INDICO account will have the permissions for you
to download your talk in the DIS09 INDICO page.
To submit your contribution please follow these steps:
- Login to the DIS09 INDICO page (by clicking on the login link in the upper right corner).
- Click on the title of your talk (you can get it from the
contribution list, using the timetable, looking for its ID, etc)
- Click the small red icon (which looks like a small piece of paper)
which appears immediately before the name of the talk for editing
- Then a window will appear and will permit you to submit your
material
